Singapore - The Singapore Pub Crawl

The first night in Singapore (after my afternoon cat nap), one of the things I wanted to do was to socialize and what better way to do so by joining the Pub Crawl, meeting point, the giant fat pigeon. (I never came across any fat pigeon there, so I assume they all died of diabetes). Closest MRT is Raffles Place.

Based on my previous nightlife experience in Singapore, one won't even realises how much one spend.  I didn't want to go back home and receive a credit card bill shoting up to B$500++ for one crazy night, even non-alcoholic drinks cost at least $S15 per drink (ridiculous!) Hence, that is why I gave the Pub Crawl a try.

I booked a slot for Saturday night via facebook message and the staff responded to meet up at the big bird and made my S$25 there. This includes a beer bottle as a starter, shots, 3 bars to visit with promo drinks and a bus ride from the beginning to the last destination they took us. As this was one of the special Holloween night crawl, they bought us to a haunted dark horse track.

The night was awesome! The crowds were loud and fun, the pub crawl team is super friendly, funny and always entertaining. Our experience in the haunted horse track was sick, the team actually had 3 of their staff to dress up as ghosts, it did freak me out at first as I didnt expect that coming.

End of the night, I reached back to my hostel, completely exhausted and dozed off right away, feeling that this was a great way to start my trip in Singapore.

Singapore - From Changi Airport to Race Course Road

I landed Singapore at 11.20am, on a late Saturday morning.

Being a solo traveler, it's easy for me to dash out from the plane up until the arrival how with no one to wait.

To get myself from the airport to my hostel, I used the MRT, costed around  S$2.10 to Lavendar MRT station. From Lavendar, I walked to Mori Hostel, located in Race Course Road (Farrer Park MRT station was alot closer but I couldn't be bothered changing platforms and rather walk), arrived about 2.30pm. Overall, my journey took about 3 hours due to the heavy rain (I had to stop my track a couple of times for temporary shelter) and the fact I wasn't familiar with my way around yet.

I went into the hostel reception area, all sweaty and panting that I kinda caught everyone attention. as I was too exhausted to even bothered what's going on, I just checked myself into the room, climbed up to the top bunk bed and slept through the afternoon. The silliest thing was it actually took me 15mins to walk to Lavendar MRT instead of the 45min walk I did to search for the hostel. :)

An Introduction: Ada the Crazy Bruneian Girl

Hello, I'm Sa'adah,  better known as Ada Rani Lim. Some of you may wonder, why 'Ada the Crazy Bruneian Girl'?. Well, during my travels, I've met a lot of people who never met a Bruneian like me before, hyperly energetic and loud. Reason being they assumed we, Bruneians are generally shy. :) I prove them wrong. Although they called me that, it's a positive compliment.

Anyway, my objective in starting up this blog is to share my travel experiences with the rest of the world, my fear, joy, yolo moments all in this one place.

I've not been to too many places but here is a list of countries I've stepped foot on:
United Kingdom
Ireland
Holland
Belgium
Spain
Portugal
East and West Malaysia
Thailand
Singapore
And of course, my own country, Brunei Darussalam. :)

There will be times I will be posting my old travel moments (if I can retrace bits and pieces of it) but for the next future post, I'll share my latest trip to Singapore which happened a few days ago.

Stay tune!
